This is important information for anyone who has recently installed a Fire-Lite 9600 series fire alarm control panel, particularly if the optional second loop card was also installed. Without the upgrade, connected devices may not respond if there is a fire.
It is important to install the upgrade now, even if the optional second loop card hasn’t been installed, but may be in the future. It’s wise to do this to avoid any possible legal ramifications should a fire occur after the optional second loop card is installed. You should document, as the original installing contractor, that the upgrade actually was performed.
